One day, while walking toward the bluff at Ebey’s Landing, I had no idea my life was about to change. The sky stretched wide above me, the air carried a familiar chill, and my thoughts wandered—until I heard it.

A creaking sound caught my attention, and I looked up to see a gnarled Douglas fir, bent and twisted from enduring nearly 200 years of relentless windstorms. I had admired those trees countless times before, but on this day, I stopped. I truly listened.

The wind spoke to me—not in words, but in an undeniable, visceral nudge. It told me that the book I was writing at the time was flat, lifeless, and that I was meant to write about the Wind.

“The wind?” I muttered aloud, incredulous. “People hate the wind!”

But as I stood there, with the wind rustling through my hair and tugging at my clothes, I knew this message wasn’t one to ignore. That moment marked the beginning of an adventure that would reshape my life, my work, and my relationship with the natural world.

Hay House Winds of SpiritBecoming a Student of the Wind

At first, I didn’t know where to begin. How do you “write about the wind”? But as I walked more often, observing how the wind danced through trees and whispered through blades of grass, I realized I didn’t need to figure it out on my own. The winds became my teachers.

Over time, they revealed themselves as much more than a force of nature. They were messengers—guides carrying wisdom that we, as humans, had forgotten how to hear. Through them, I came to understand that our disconnection from the natural world is not just a loss; it’s a call to remember.

The winds taught me how to listen—not just to the world outside, but to the forces shaping my inner life. They became my allies, showing me how to harmonize with change, find clarity in chaos, and align with the energy of transformation.

The idea of separation—between humans and nature, between the spiritual and the mundane—began to dissolve. And as I worked on my book, Winds of Spirit, the winds guided me every step of the way.

The Wisdom of Nature as an Oracle

The winds don’t just speak to me—they speak to all of us, if we’re willing to listen. The ancient cultures understood this. Across time and traditions, the wind has been revered as a messenger, a force that bridges the gap between the seen and unseen.

Through the process of writing Winds of Spirit and creating my Wind Walker’s Wisdom Oracle, I’ve come to believe that nature is the most profound oracle we have. Every gust of wind, every shift in the sky, every creak of a tree holds a message—guidance for those who pause to pay attention.

This is why I created my upcoming class, Walking with the Winds: Unlocking the Wisdom of Nature’s Ancient Oracle. I want to share this journey with you—not just my story, but the tools, insights, and practices I’ve developed to help others hear the wisdom of the winds.

An Invitation to Listen

If you’ve ever felt the tug of the natural world calling you back, this class is for you.

Together, we’ll explore how the wind has been viewed as a messenger across cultures, learn how to use nature as an oracle, and journey into the winds through a guided meditation to receive your own insights.

This isn’t just about connecting with the wind—it’s about reconnecting with yourself, your intuition, and the natural forces that shape your path.

You don’t need prior experience, just an open heart and a willingness to listen. Learn More Here
