Hay_in_handIn our fast-moving world, fear can settle into the body like a heavy weight, dimming our joy and abundance. Yet, nature always offers a way to lighten the load.

One of my clients, Maria, came to me overwhelmed with anxiety about her work. She felt as though every deadline pressed on her chest, leaving no room for rest or joy. I invited her to step outside, gather a few strands of dried grass, and call upon Huayra-tata, the Andean Wind God. Standing barefoot on the earth, she breathed deeply and whispered her worries into the grass. With each release, the wind carried away another layer of tension. By the time she was finished, her shoulders had softened, and she felt a calm spaciousness in her heart.

This is a practice you can do as well. Find a quiet place on the earth. Gather dried grass and allow the breeze to touch your skin. Call upon Huayra-tata to help carry away your fears. Place the grass in your right hand and speak your story into the blades. Release them to the wind one by one until you feel light again.

When you finish, thank Huayra. Even a few moments of this sacred play can lift the heaviness and open space for joy to return.
