Alejandro López is an important reference in American Art, Teaching and Research of Ancestral Sound. Both as an environmental activist, musician, and composer of Chilean origin. He comes from a small town in the central area of ​​Chile, called El Melón, where he spent his childhood among the hills and village life. He studied a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the Catholic University of Valparaíso. In 2000 he decided to volunteer and gave himself completely to accompanying the Mapuche grandmothers who led the Resistance against the Ralco Dam.

The Yoruba people of West Africa open every ceremony by honoring their trickster deity, Eshu. Marsha will open our ceremony with teachings about this orisha that lives behind our heads and pushes us into mistakes and self-sabotage. Yoruba tradition calls him out in front of us so we can see him (and our own shadow) and honor him. Once he is honored, he becomes the messenger to all the other archetypal energies that can be our allies. We will listen to chants by a Yoruba Babalawo and dance to Eshu’s rhythm as we honor our personal tricksters.

Most of us want to feel comfortable and we move away from whatever triggers discomfort whether that is emotional, psychological or physical. We often hear people talk about the weather outside using language to denote the degree of comfort which people can expect to experience.

Aimee Mosco is an author, columnist, channel and co-founder of Intentional Healing Systems, LLC. Delve into the fascinating world of the Sami people, indigenous inhabitants of northern Scandinavia and Russia, known for their unique reindeer sleds. Central to the discussion is the role of Sami women, who not only skillfully managed these sleds but were also revered as shamans in their communities. The narrative unfolds the mystical legend of the reindeer goddess, deeply intertwined with the traditions and beliefs of the Sami. Intriguingly, we explore the use of hallucinogenic mushrooms in shamanic rituals, particularly the Amanita muscaria, which bears a striking resemblance to the classic red-and-white colors associated with modern Christmas imagery. These women shamans were believed to embark on spiritual journeys, metaphorically climbing the world tree to retrieve gifts for their people, a narrative echoing the modern-day Santa Claus. However, this rich tapestry of Sami shamanistic culture and folklore, centered around powerful female figures and mystical practices, contrasts sharply with the commonly accepted male image of Santa Claus, often linked to Saint Nicholas. This talk challenges these conventional notions, revealing a more complex and culturally diverse origin of the Santa Claus legend.

Tina Proctor is a peace advocate and storyteller, who has spent the past 12 years introducing women and girls to goddess stories from around the world. She has an MS in Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University and an MA in Women’s Spirituality from New College, a program that now resides at the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California. Tina is a certified labyrinth facilitator and enjoys introducing people to the deep intuitive releases of this winding meditative path.

We will examine an intuitive, divination technique using an energetic archetype from the North direction.

Kat Sticker is an alumni of Renee Baribeau’s Wind apprenticeship program. She is a Celtic shamanic practitioner under the Slí An Chroí lineage through teachers John Cantwell and Dr. Karen Ward. Kat is a trained herbalist, Certified Reiki Master and Certified Angelic Reiki Master and Akashic records reader. She has trained for many years in intuitive mediumship and healing practices.

Kat is currently serving her community as a ritual designer and emerging artist and author with the goal of demystifying the secrets of the unseen world, making them easily accessible for everyone. She designs techniques to embark on a transformative journey of empowerment, healing and harmony.

Linda Fitch is a practicing shaman who has studied and worked with the medicine men and women of Peru for more than two decades. The former ​Dean​ of the Four Winds Society​ Light Body School of Energy Medicine, she has trained thousands of students in shamanic healing practices. Widely recognized for her groundbreaking trainings and classes, ​she ​has led multiple expeditions to the high mountains and jungles of Peru. She also maintains an active personal healing practice, working with clients around the globe and teaches regularly online and in person.
