Passion Arouse Ehécatl when plans have turned to ashes, when you feel heartbroken, or when you are ready to call forth your beloved.

In 2016, a mysterious temple that scientists believe was used to worship Ehécatl-Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec wind god, was uncovered during the demolition of a supermarket in Mexico City. The following year, another Aztec artifact, an inscribed Jade pendant, was found in Belize, more than sixty miles from the original Mayan center of influence. Scientists believe that this magical pendant tells a powerful story dedicated to the wind god, Ehécatl-Quetzalcoatl, and the demise of the Aztec civilization.[i] Early on, during my study of these ancient wind practices, I was enchanted by the sound of a whistle while visiting the Mesoamerican valley and temple of Teotihuacan. I believe that these separate events are connected. Right after I hit publish, my Wind Maker wrote to tell me the holiday order of Whistles were ready to ship.

This week the Wind Spirit arrives from the South with a large blessing.

Ehécatl is fanning the flames of your innermost feelings and hidden desires. Until you are willing to risk your heart, love stands at bay. Remember you are worthy of love and passion. Allow the mysterious thread of the universe to carry you into the next cycle.

Unlike Ehécatl, who was molded from a stone knife, you are an emotional being who thrives on love. A howling Ehécatl is prompting you to open your heart to love. A wind stirs deep within you, asking you to soften your heart and forgive those who have harmed you. Now is the time to heal the emotional scars left behind by abuse, loss, or abandonment.
