Nil’ Chi arrives from the North, offering direct access to spirit. This week’s Winds of Spirit is encouraging you to pause and reflect before moving forward. Last week’s Wind of Spirit Card was also Nil’Chi but from the Emotional South.
For me, the past week has had everything to do with diving deep into my past, to clear out remnants of old emotional patterns. Nightly dreams involved people, places, and things that no longer seem relevant to my life. At one point during the week, I woke up in a cold sweat, proclaiming, “I deserve success”. This felt like an internal battle for a good life. The more we clear our past wreckage, the sweeter the journey, until we reach the next plateau where the juicy nectar requires refinement before drinking. This is the path of the mystic.
This week’s Winds of Spirit is Nil’Chi arriving from the North, the place of spirit. Before moving a project, relationship, or business forward towards a new cycle, one will always have to pass the spiritual gatekeeper. This is where energetic consensus and support is garnered for forward movement. It is no surprise that the same calming inner wind would support me this week as I travel to London to present the Winds of Spirit at the Seventh International Conference on Religion & Spirituality in Society, to a group of religious scholars. It will definitely require listening to these inner winds for guidance as my knowledge of religion is limited compared to seasoned professors in the field. Stay tuned to the Wind Believers Group for Conference Updates. As a seasoned speaker, who loves an audience, this gig has me stopped in my tracks.
How does this translate into your life? The world is in chaos. It is more important than ever to make time for your rituals and prayers. Once I stopped completely, said my prayers, and meditated, the next step appeared. The only way to ascend a tall mountain is by taking one step at a time. Phew.
When Nil’chi appears in the northern quadrant, it signifies that a transformation of faith is possible. Reality mirrors language, and not the other way around. The power of wind cannot be accurately mirrored in words, as it is incomprehensible. Faith is an ever-changing perceptible wind. Sometimes it arrives as a gale of uncertainty, at others times as a mother’s gentle caress. Wind is a constant reminder that the wisdom of spirit is ever-present in your life. Once you understand wind, you have will access to the cohesive elements of energy found in nature.

Offer gratitude for the strenuous but important lessons learned during the daily, monthly, yearly, or larger cycles of life.
Please share your experience from the week below in the comments.
